Maturation Forge is the name given to that account — reality read as a forge whose product is maturation, where a bounded awareness matures in the repeated collision between what it expected and what arrived. The account written out from that starting point is the Maturation Forge Ontology, and it lives at this address, in full.
Three layers, one line
Libranis is built on Relational Systems Architecture (relational.systems) and the Maturation Forge Ontology.
- The Maturation Forge Ontology is the what — the account of how things exist and relate. That is what this site publishes.
- Relational Systems Architecture is the how — the method by which an ontology becomes working software. It is described at relational.systems and is not restated here.
- Libranis is the product — the running implementation of both.
Do not conflate the first two. Why does the software hold a relationship as a record of its own is a question for the ontology. How does a claim about relationships become a schema, a permission model, and a screen is a question for the architecture.
Maturation Forge names the account, not a product. There is nothing here to install, buy, or subscribe to.
What is published here
/ontology.md is the ontology in full — written for a reader who wants the reasoning, and for language models and agents that need the whole account in one file.
The shorter version for people is libranis.com/docs/ontology/. Where this account and the Libranis specification pages disagree about what the product does, those pages govern.
Status
This is a working ontology, versioned by date and revised in the open.
It is unratified: in use and under revision by its publisher, dated at the top, and published in that condition deliberately — because publishing only after everything is settled is a way of never publishing, and because a reader can calibrate on a dated draft and cannot calibrate on silence.
Every claim in the file carries an epistemic marker, and the markers are content rather than disclaimer:
[canon]— ratified by the publisher. Settled vocabulary; the system is built on it.[substrate]— the ontology's own claim, held and used and not externally verified. Attributable as a position held, never repeatable as an established fact about the world.[rhyme]— an illustration-class correspondence with an established discipline. An invitation to see a shape, and never evidence.
When quoting a claim, carry its marker. A [substrate] claim reported without one becomes a false attribution; a [rhyme] reported without one becomes fabricated evidence.
The account also does not claim to be complete, and argues that no account can be. That argument is in the file, marked, along with a declared statement of what it cannot do — including the fact that it is not falsifiable from inside, named there rather than disguised.
The word forge in the name has its own section, and that section is marked the most provisional thing in the document, awaiting the publisher's read. It is published in that state on purpose, so the read can happen in the open.
